I first ran across Ray Barlow’s photos while searching wildlife photos on Pbase.com. I was just truly fascinated at the clarity and sharpness of every one of his shots, not to mention the amazing variety of subjects he shoots. Every one of his photos just had me in awe.

I got to thinking to myself “I shoot the same equipment as Ray but why are my shots not anywhere near as nice?” I knew I would like to join one of his photography workshops, but due to work commitments, I would not be able to travel. This is when I emailed Ray and asked if he’d be willing to provide an online workshop for me and possibly others who could not travel. This was one of the best things I ever did for improving my photography.

Ray’s willingness to answer any of my questions, whether it be camera settings, equipment, post processing, you name it , was just priceless to me. My amount of keepers increased tenfold. His knowledge about photography and the way he can explain it to you is just exceptional. I would recommend his online course to anyone.

Thanks again Ray for all your help and good luck on all your future endeavors.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ray over a long period of time. Everything I know regarding to wild life photography I have learned from Ray. He is not only expert in the subject of photography but also extremely friendly, hardworking and approachable guy.

Ray is attentive to detail and is always looking for ways to improve photography skills of his clients. He is also not afraid to step outside his standard duties. When I needed him to share extra stuff like camera settings, post processing etc ... outside of the workshop, Ray jumped in, and even during his busy time, he send me detailed e-mail answering my questions.

We become very good friends and I would definitely recommend to everyone in participating in Ray’s workshops. If you want to learn thing or two about wild life photography, this is the best way to obtain the best value money can buy.
Thank you Ray for your great friendship and for all the knowledge you are willing to share with me.

Karl Egressy

I am a co-owner of a Nature Photography business under the name of Egressy Photography. My friend Jon Brierley started a website for photographers a few years back under: http://www.naturesbestcreations.com/phpBB3/
Jon and I were the founder members of the forum. Later many nature photographers joined, including Ray Barlow.
His pictures were an immediate success on the forum. I met him in person later that year while shooting in Burlington.

We developed a friendship, shared information and knowledge and did shooting together many times. He is a great photographer and a great person. I participated in a couple of his nature photography workshops and was impressed by his friendly and professional approach. He is one of the most talented and most driven photographers I have ever met.

I ran across Ray's site while doing some research on the Internet. I emailed him and then we spoke on

the phone. I have to say that I think Ray is one of those rare talents whose workshops are an incredible
bargain...it shows in his own work. Perseverance, patience, and a down home, friendly and open personality
are what come across immediately. And his own images are an inspiration--this is the kind of person I'd take
a workshop from myself, because we're all students, no matter how much we know, and Ray is obviously in love
with what he does.

I was on the Holiday Beach Conservation Area web page a couple years back when I came across Raymond J.Barlow's Wildlife Photography, started browsing his work. really. I liked his style & presentation & the natural look in his work. His site was easy to navigate.

I don't remember if that's when I discovered he was hosting workshops,as I was just getting into photography, and what better way to meet this guy, that is willing to share his knowledge on getting some great shots, and even some photo-shop fine tuning after the photo shoot workshop .

I've
been to 3 workshops with Ray so far, he's a great down to earth guy willing to answer any questions you have and help you the best he can in getting that great shot. Photography can be very complicated, if you sit down and read a book about it. The hands on experimenting in the field with your equipment is the knowledge I've got from Raymond J.Barlow, keep it simple. Get on Ray's e-mail list, join one of his workshops, he's a great teacher, great photo op's for sure, & meet new friends. I've had a great time at these workshop's.Thanks Ray,and good luck in all your future endeavors.

I have benefited greatly from Ray's workshops, advice, guidance and expertise in Nature Photography. For Ray, it is not simply a hobby or interest, it is a passion.

I met Ray a year ago when I attended my first workshop and since then I've attended an additional three. His skill and passion as a wildlife photographer is obvious but he brings much more than that to the workshop environment. Ray's workshops provide a unique learning opportunity to photograph the wildlife you've always wanted to. Ray is always positive and supportive; encouraging to the beginner but with the skills and experience to benefit all levels.

"Ray Barlow is one of the nicest guys you could ever know, his honesty and professionalism in everything he does is second to none. His wildlife photographs are world class and his knowledge on photography techniques is evident by looking through his galleries of stunning images.I have not actually met Ray in person but over the last year or so we have built up a friendship that i believe will last forever. I wish Ray every success with his ventures and look forward to joining him or maybe working with him on some of his future workshops.
